Australian producer Aeris Resources has resumed operations at its Mt Colin copper operation in Queensland, five days after excessive water flows from intense rainstorms in the Mount Isa-Cloncurry region forced it to withdraw all personnel from the underground mine.
While mine production and ore haulage have restarted, Aeris says it will continue to monitor the situation in the region.

Australian miner Aeris Resources is continuing to wrestle with the performance of its Cracow gold mine in Qld while celebrating the success of a turnaround strategy at its Tritton copper operations in NSW.
Aeris posted production for the year to end-June (FY22) of 18,581t Cu at Tritton, down from 22,987t in FY21 but meeting its 18,500-19,500t guidance, and 53,920oz Au (FY21: 73,685oz) but below its 56,000-59,000oz at Cracow.

Exec chairman Andre Labuschagne says the outcome, a portfolio focused on copper and zinc with four operating mines, a development project with over 10 years of ore reserves and highly prospective exploration assets, significantly improves its cashflow and risk profile.
Both of Aeris Resources’ operations have had an off Mar 2020 qtr (Q3 22), with gold production from the Cracow mine in Queensland, Australia, plunging to 11,643oz from Q2 22’s 15,869oz and copper from the Tritton mine in New South Wales, also in Australia, down to 4,040t from 4,880t.
A switch to focus on higher-grade ore sources at depth has led Australian copper miner Aeris Resources to predict production growth as high as 33,000t by FY25 at its 100%-owned Tritton project in NSW.
Exec chairman Andre Labuschagne says the changes to operating strategy in Jan 2022 are now flowing through, keeping the NSW project on target for its FY22 guidance of 18,500-19,500t.

Australian miner Aeris Resources has posted a maiden mineral resource of 47,000t copper metal (3.3Mt @ 1.4% Cu) for the upper 200m of the Constellation deposit at its 100%-owned Tritton project in NSW. The resource represents the potential openpit portion of Constellation, one of several deposits in Tritton's tenement package.
The company has also defined an exploration target of 608Mt @ 1.7-2.2% for 100,000-180,000t copper.
Australian producer Aeris Resources has posted a 15% increase in indicated-inferred mineral resources to 2.6Mt @ 1.5% for 39,000t copper, 0.2g/t for 15,000oz gold and 6.7g/t for 560,000oz silver at Budgerygar, one of the three new ore sources it is developing at its flagship Tritton project in central NSW.
