Ardea Resources has come up with a new indicated/inferred JORC resource for its Lewis Ponds gold-silver-zinc-lead-copper deposit, 12km E of Orange in Australia’s New South Wales and destined for the upcoming Godolphin Resources spin-off, containing over 326,000oz Au, 21.6Moz Ag, 290,000t Zn, 135,000t Pb and 19,700t Cu.
The resources are within an open pit/underground 20.24Mt at 0.5g/t Au, 33.3g/t Ag, 1.5% Zn, 0.7% Pb and 0.1% Cu, suitable for conventional flotation producing a gold-silver-lead-copper conc and a zinc conc. The Lewis Ponds mineralisation is open in all directions and part of a much larger mineral camp extending over 9km to the SE on, and controlled by, the Godolphin-Narragal Fault system that hosts the 2.3Moz McPhillamys gold deposit and with extensive other old gold, copper and base metal workings.
