ARDEA RES: REAPPRAISAL LIFTS WA COBALT-NICKEL RESOURCES

Heron Resources spin-off Ardea Resources has outlined “a new, substantially larger resource” for its Kalgoorlie Nickel Project (KNP) Cobalt Zone in Western Australia containing over 108,000t of cobalt metal and over 856,000t of nickel, from the previous 83,000t+, within 108.3Mt at 0.10 % cobalt and 0.79 % nickel.
The updated resource for the Cobalt Zone at nearby Goongarrie is for 81,700t cobalt and 672,300t nickel, within 83.1Mt at 0.10 % cobalt and 0.81 % nickel.
Andrea says the improvements are not the result of additional drilling results nor any significant remodelling exercise, but a reappraisal of the focus of mining at Goongarrie during the development of the PFS.
