The award of major project status by the Australian government recognises the national and strategic significance of WA-based Ardea Resources’ 100%-owned Kalgoorlie Nickel Project and its strategy to become an integrated feedstock supplier to the lithium ion battery sector.
Explorer Ardea Resources has confirmed a massive nickel sulphide discovery at its Kalpini Project, 70km NE of Kalgoorlie, Western Australia.
Some of the world’s largest nickel and chemicals producers are part of a plan to develop a cathode precursor production pilot plant at Kalgoorlie in Western Australia to produce locally sourced materials for electric vehicle batteries, adding value in downstream processing within Australia.
The companies are members of the Future Battery Industries Cooperative Research Centre, which has signed an $A18M contract to design and commission the pilot plant, with installation and commissioning to commence in the March 2022 quarter.
West Australian developer Ardea Resources has underlined its ambitions for its Goongarrie project as the commencement point for a long-life critical minerals supply operation 70km N of Kalgoorlie with a resource update confirming it as one of the developed world’s largest and most strategic nickel-cobalt deposits.
Australian miner Red 5 has further expanded the footprint of its flagship Darlot mine in WA’s Eastern Goldfields with the signing of an agreement to earn up to 80% of Ardea Resources’ Mt Zephyr and Darlot East gold projects.
The Mt Zephyr project, hosting several areas of known mineralisation, is within 100km trucking distance of Red 5’s Darlot mining and processing complex, 900km NE of Perth. Darlot East covers an under-explored area just 8km from Darlot.
West Australian explorer Ardea Resources has commenced mining and toll treatment studies as it posts a maiden JORC 2012 inferred mineral resource at the Big Four gold deposit within its Goongarrie Nickel Cobalt Project 70km N of Kalgoorlie.
MD Andrew Penkethman says the inferred resource of 15,300oz (178,000t @ 2.7g/t Au) at a project it drilled for the first time in Jan confirms the gold prospectivity of the Bardoc Tectonic Zone within its extensive tenement base.
Ardea Resources has come up with a new indicated/inferred JORC resource for its Lewis Ponds gold-silver-zinc-lead-copper deposit, 12km E of Orange in Australia’s New South Wales and destined for the upcoming Godolphin Resources spin-off, containing over 326,000oz Au, 21.6Moz Ag, 290,000t Zn, 135,000t Pb and 19,700t Cu.
Australian explorer Ardea Resources continues to build the kitty for its planned Dec qtr spin-off of a package of gold and base metal tenements in the Lachlan Gold Belt of central NSW, announcing an initial JORC inferred mineral resource of 62,400oz (1.21Mt @ 1.61g/t) at its Mount Aubrey epithermal gold deposit.
The resource calculation, based on historical data, follows the announcement this month of updated resources for the nearby Yeoval porphyry copper-gold deposit.
Australian explorer Ardea Resources is giving its proposed spin-off company a going away present, announcing an updated JORC inferred resource for its Yeoval porphyry copper-gold deposit of 12.8Mt @ 0.38% for 48,500t Cu, 0.14g/t for 58,000oz Au, 2.2g/t for 911,000oz Ag and 120ppm for 1,500t Mo.
Yeoval is part of the Lachlan Fold Belt, NSW tenement package in the proposed Dec qtr ASX spin-out of Godolphin Resources.
Australian explorer Ardea Resources has advanced plans to spin off a package of gold and base metal tenements in the Lachlan Fold Belt of central NSW into a new IPO, Godolphin Resources.
Godolphin will hold 100% of near-term openpit development opportunities at the Lewis Ponds gold-zinc and Mount Aubrey gold deposits, with a long-term strategy seeking bulk tonnage mineral assets akin to region's Cadia-Ridgeway and Northparkes porphyry gold-copper mineralisation.
