Heron Resources spin-off Ardea Resources has outlined “a new, substantially larger resource” for its Kalgoorlie Nickel Project (KNP) Cobalt Zone in Western Australia containing over 108,000t of cobalt metal and over 856,000t of nickel, from the previous 83,000t+, within 108.3Mt at 0.10 % cobalt and 0.79 % nickel.
The updated resource for the Cobalt Zone at nearby Goongarrie is for 81,700t cobalt and 672,300t nickel, within 83.1Mt at 0.10 % cobalt and 0.81 % nickel.
Explorer Ardea Resources has done a $A5M cash and 2% royalty deal to sell some of its semi-precious chrysoprase tenements and rights in Western Australian to Sydney-based Australian Jade Mining.
The semi-precious gemstone rights span the Yerilla, Jump Up Dam, Aubils and Canegrass areas NE and N of Kalgoorlie.

Founding MD Ian Buchhorn has resigned from the board as Australian explorer Heron moves into the development of its Woodlawn zinc-copper project in NSW.
Heron says Buchhorn will also quit his executive position with the company to focus on his role as a non-executive director of its spin-off company Ardea Resources and his other business interests.
Buchhorn was MD when Heron listed in 1996 and moved to an executive directorship in 2014.
