AUSTRALIAN RARE EARTHS: KOPPAMURRA DELIVERS FIRST OUTPUT

Australian explorer AR3 has highlighted the potential of its 100%-owned Koppamurra ionic clay project on the SA-Victorian border to become a long-term globally significant supplier after producing a mixed rare earth carbonate containing all the elements needed to produce permanent magnets.
The MREC was produced from an 800kg bulk sample in a pilot-scale operation at ANSTO Minerals using existing equipment and simple processes.
AR3 says the output is being used for marketing, particularly relating to its Oct 2022 non-binding offtake agreement with international producer Neo Performance Materials.
