NEWCREST: OPEN TO SALE OF TELFER GOLD MINE - Update

 

Melbourne, Feb 13

Chief exec Sandeep Biswas says Newcrest is open to selling its former flagship operation, the Telfer gold and copper mine in Western Australia, but declines to say if the company has appointed advisors to market the mine.
Biswas says Newcrest is weighing a possible sale against the investment needed to open more of the lode for mining. "If there is someone out there that values it more than what our mining options are, that's something we are prepared to look at," Biswas told reporters. Reuters
