Canadian miner Pembridge Resources has lifted production to 24,646wmt copper in concentrate for the year to Dec 2020 (FY2020) at its Minto copper and gold mine, 240km north of Whitehorse in the Yukon.
The result compares with 7,167t in FY2019, when it operated for just 2 months after a year-long care and maintenance shutdown. Chairman-CEO Gati Al-Jebouri says Pembridge expects production to rise further in FY2021.
Processing of lower grade ore from completion of the Minto East orebody and start up of the Copper Keel deposit reduced Dec qtr (Q4) production to 5,143t, from 5,707t in the previous period.
