Pilbara Minerals has posted record shipments for the Dec 2020 qtr (Q2 21) of 70,609 dry metric tonnes (dmt) of spodumene concentrate, exceeding sales guidance for the qtr of 55,000-70,000dmt, 38% up on Q1 21 shipments and well up on the previous record of 46,682dmt in the Dec 2018 qtr.

Lithium miner Pilbara Minerals has entered into a conditional agreement to acquire in-administration fellow Western Australian Altura Mining’s Pilgangoora lithium project in WA’s Pilbara region for about $US175M, Reuters reports.
Pilbara was vying with Galaxy Resources to acquire the embattled hard rock lithium producer and was considered the frontrunner given the proximity of its lithium project to Altura's. Altura went into administration yesterday.
