Heavy rains that cost 18.5 days of mining operations at its two main openpits and closed haul roads from satellite pits for a total of 24 days wasn't sufficient to prevent Regis reaching the upper end of its guidance, for the March quarter (Q3FY17).
Its Duketon operations in Western Australia produced 79,223oz gold, compared to 80,090oz in the previous quarter, keeping Regis on track to exceed its FY16 production around midpoint of its 300,000-330,000oz FY17 guidance. AISC rose to $A1,024/oz (Q1: $951/oz) due to high start-up strip ratios at Erlistoun and completion of cutbacks at Rosemont, but remains at the midpoint of guidance.
