West Australian gold miner Regis Resources has maintained its production and costs guidance for the year to June 2021 after a challenging Sept qtr (Q1FY21) that saw production decline to 81,567oz at AISC of $A1,400/oz, from 87,260oz at $1,385/oz in the previous period.
Production was drawn from the Moolart Well (20,307oz at $1,392/oz), Garden Well (37,963oz at $1,269/oz) and Rosemont (23,296oz at $1,559/oz) projects.
Q1 sales of 60,900oz at $A2,256 delivered total revenue of $137.5M and generated $85M cash-flow, down from $109M in Q4FY20. Regis ended the period with cash and bullion of $225M (Q4FY20: $209M).
MD Jim Beyer predicts stronger production in the second half will support its expectations of 355,000-380,000oz at $1,230-1,300/oz.
