There are increasing signs that South Africa’s national gold strike may be coming to an end after just three days, with most strikers agreeing to return to work.
The striking miners have been agreeing to wage increases of 8% in renewed negotiations, a source with direct knowledge of the talks said.
Workers at Harmony Gold appeared to be the only standouts as National Union of Mineworkers spokesman Lesiba Seshoka told national broadcaster SABC that most workers "have committed to going back to work".
